Camp Cotton

One of the kids' favorite days in Dallas was the last full one. January 1st was the last day before game day as well as Day 7 at the hotel. For anyone with children who have stayed in a hotel for a week, you will understand the significance of that statement. We really didn't spend much time in our rooms, but still a week away from home starts to wear on a person.

So, here the Cotton Bowl hosts "Camp Cotton" -a day dedicated to the kids which helps everyone get through one last day.

The activities/events included: a caricaturist, face painter, balloon artist, Critter Man, airbrush tattoo-ist, and a Magician. A couple of them were there for just an hour-long show, but the others were there for multiple hours so everyone got a chance to have a turn. I will show our caricatures (some better than others) another day, but I will post some of the other photos now.

Cole's hand with a shark.

Robbie got an OSU painted on his face; Rachel, a butterfly; Alexa, a mermaid.

Robbie participating in the Critter Man's show. He handled it like a pro- no worries from this boy. He keeps a cool head even under pressure as he answered all of the guy's question right about the snake while it was wrapped around his neck.

Rachel getting her tattoo - a horse named "Bullet", of course.

Robbie is the only other one who got a tattoo- his was a dragon on his upper arm.

Alexa with her Ariel balloon.

Rachel who waited in line as well wanting a flower, quickly changed her mind when she saw Alexa's mermaid and ended up getting the same as well.
